Melanie is a JCAHPO certified Ophthalmic Assistant.  She has experience in many areas from front desk to ophthalmic testing to detailed clinical work-ups. She will prepare you to see Dr. Whitney in clinic.  Melanie also serves as our surgical coordinator, ensuring all details are completed before your eye surgery.

Shelby will be the first person to welcome you into Shavano Eye Center.  She is an expert at getting patients scheduled in a timely manner, from annual eye exams to eye emergencies.  She also verifies your insurance is up to date, and assists in scheduling any necessary testing, imaging, surgery, or referral appointments.  She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
